It would be very nice to not only see alltime and monthly rankings, but also see trends

Well, if you rank higher in the week rankings than in the all time rankings, your trend is to keep raising.

Anyway, one thing that is being planned to be launched soon is a personalized weekly report message for each contributor with information about how are you doing in different charts compared to the previous week.

Just let me know if this not exactly what you are looking for.

Maybe you could consider using a more visual way by using up and down arrows?

Yes, I have thought of that but did not use it yet because the current site theme does not have up and down arrows yet. I think I need to add it soon. Thanks for the suggestion.
